Kathmandu: Gold and silver prices witnessed a sharp decline in the Nepali market today (Thursday). According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association, the price of gold dropped by NPR 9,500 per tola in a single day.
As per the federation’s latest update, fine gold is being traded at NPR 295,200 per tola today. On Wednesday, gold was traded at NPR 304,700 per tola, showing a significant decline in just one day.
Silver prices also fell along with gold. Today, silver dropped by NPR 620 per tola to NPR 4,980, compared to NPR 5,600 per tola on Wednesday.
The federation stated that fluctuations in the international gold market have strongly affected local prices. Global price volatility, currency movements, and changes in supply and demand are considered major factors behind the recent decline.
