Gold and Silver Prices Hit Record High

Gold and silver prices in the Nepali market surged to historic highs on Monday, January 19, 2026. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold jumped by NPR 4,200 per tola to reach a new record of NPR 282,000, up from NPR 277,800 recorded on Sunday, breaking the previous high set on December 30. Silver prices also climbed sharply, rising by NPR 185 per tola to NPR 5,810, surpassing the earlier record of NPR 5,655 and marking an all-time high in the domestic market.
