Gold and Silver Prices Rebound in Nepali Market After Sharp Decline

After several days of steep losses, gold and silver prices rebounded in the Nepali market on Tuesday, Magh 19. The price of gold increased by Rs 3,700 per tola, while silver rose by Rs 135 per tola. The recovery comes after continuous heavy declines in precious metal prices over the past three days, which had created uncertainty among traders and consumers.

According to Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold (hallmarked gold) stood at Rs 290,300 per tola on Tuesday. On Monday, gold was traded at Rs 286,600 per tola, reflecting a significant day-to-day increase. Market analysts say the rebound is linked to short-term correction following the sharp fall in recent sessions.

Silver prices also followed an upward trend. On Tuesday, silver was traded at Rs 5,335 per tola, up from Rs 5,200 per tola on Monday. Traders believe that fluctuations in international markets and changes in domestic demand continue to influence gold and silver prices in Nepal.
