Panchthar Power Company Limited (PPL) has published its unaudited financial statement up to the second quarter of the current fiscal year. According to the report, the company generated NPR 239.4 million in revenue from electricity sales by mid-January. In the previous fiscal year, severe floods in mid-2023 and again in October 2024 damaged the project, including civil structures, the powerhouse, and electromechanical equipment, resulting in zero electricity sales up to the second quarter. Following the completion of repair works, electricity generation resumed from March 29, 2025, leading to a recovery in revenue. With the resumption of power sales, the company has returned to profitability, posting a net profit of NPR 90.4 million by the second quarter, compared to a loss of NPR 77.6 million in the same period last year. During the first six months of the fiscal year, PPL recorded a total profit of NPR 227.6 million and financial expenses of NPR 80.3 million. The company reported an earnings per share (EPS) of NPR 18.80, a net worth per share of NPR 99.20, and a price–earnings (P/E) ratio of 18.48 times. The company has a paid-up capital of NPR 962.5 million, while its reserve remains negative at NPR 7.664 million.
