Synergy Power's General Meeting Postponed: Election Process Disputes and Allegations of Promoter Involvement!

The 19th General Meeting of Synergy Power Development Limited has been postponed, according to Election Officer Sanjeev Lama. The meeting and election were delayed due to the improper completion of the proxy submission process. Several candidates in the election had requested information about how many of their proxies were valid and invalid, but the election officer failed to provide a response, leading to accusations.

Candidates claimed they did not receive the necessary information during the proxy collection process, and they also alleged that the election process was conducted improperly. Additionally, they accused election officers of using bouncers to intimidate them.

Regarding the election process, candidates stated that they were deprived of their right to access information, and they raised concerns about the election officer's possible involvement in the issue.

In recent incidents, some general meetings of companies have been postponed due to insufficient quorum. Specifically, promoters of shareholder companies have been accused of appointing only their associates to the board, bypassing public participation.

Moreover, despite the fact that seven positions on Synergy Power’s board were vacant, only five board members, including one independent director, were notified, and no changes were made to the company’s bylaws, leading to allegations of unlawful actions.
