444 Government Vehicles and 609 Motorcycles Destroyed in Protests Around Singha Durbar

Kathmandu. Recent protests have caused large-scale damage to government and private vehicles in and around Singha Durbar, according to official data published by Gorkhapatra Daily. The highest number of losses was recorded at the Department of Roads, with 65 four-wheel vehicles destroyed.
The report further shows that 51 vehicles of the Supreme Court, 50 from the Department of Urban Development and Building Construction, 47 from the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, 36 from the Ministry of Finance, and 35 from the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration were burned during the unrest.
Similarly, 26 vehicles from the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, 25 from the Ministry of Home Affairs, 22 from the Ministry of Health and Population, 19 from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, 18 from the Federal Parliament Secretariat, 18 from the Valley Traffic Police Office, 17 from the Ministry of Forests and Environment, and 9 from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development were destroyed.
In total, 444 four-wheelers and buses and 609 motorcycles/scooters were completely damaged in the Singha Durbar area.
Authorities said that the collection of the full details of damages caused during the protests is still ongoing.
