7% RBBL Debenture 2088' Issuance Closed Early Due to Oversubscription
The issuance of the 7-year term “7% RBBL Debenture 2088” by RBBL Bank has been closed earlier than the extended deadline of Baisakh 21 due to oversubscription. The bank had issued 2.5 million units of debentures, each with a face value of NPR 1,000, totaling NPR 2.5 billion.
Out of the total issue, 1.5 million units (NPR 1.5 billion) were allocated for private placement, while the remaining 1 million units (NPR 1 billion) were offered to the general public. Among the public issue, 50,000 units were reserved for mutual funds.
General investors were eligible to apply for the remaining 950,000 units. The minimum application was for 25 units, with no maximum cap.
Sanima Capital Limited was the issue and sales manager. Applications were accepted through banks and financial institutions participating in the C-ASBA system approved by the Securities Board of Nepal.
The debenture received a “CARE NP A+ (Issuer)” credit rating from CARE Ratings Nepal, indicating an adequate degree of safety regarding timely servicing of financial obligations. The 7% annual interest will be paid semi-annually after tax deduction.
