Gold and Silver Turn Cheaper in Nepali Market as Prices Fall

On Sunday, January 4, 2026 (Poush 20), prices of both gold and silver declined in the Nepali market. Gold fell by Rs 2,100 per tola to trade at Rs 260,400 per tola, down from Rs 262,500 per tola recorded on Friday. Similarly, silver prices also dropped by Rs 25 per tola. Silver is currently being traded at Rs 4,500 per tola, compared to Rs 4,525 per tola in the previous trading session. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Federation, fluctuations in international markets have influenced domestic prices.
