Gold Price Crosses Rs. 200,000 Per Tola, Silver Hits Record Level

On Friday, August 29, 2025, the price of gold in the Nepali market set a new record, crossing the 2 lakh mark per tola. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, gold is trading at Rs. 200,600 per tola, which is Rs. 1,200 higher than the previous day. On Wednesday, gold was priced at Rs. 199,400 per tola, and the upward momentum continued to break records on Thursday and Friday. Meanwhile, silver is also trading at record levels. It had previously reached Rs. 2,360 per tola on Shrawan 10, and today it is being traded at the same rate, though it rose by Rs. 5 compared to the previous day.
