Prachanda Injured After Slipping in Bathroom, Suffers Head Injury

Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre) and former Prime Minister, sustained injuries after slipping in the bathroom at his residence in Khumaltar last night.
According to sources, Prachanda slipped while using the bathroom and suffered injuries to his head and forehead. He was immediately taken to Mediciti Hospital in Lalitpur for treatment.
Hospital sources confirmed that he received a minor head injury, and a deeper wound on his forehead required stitches. His current condition is said to be stable, and he remains under medical observation.
Preparations are underway to discharge him soon, but doctors have advised a few days of rest. Following the incident, senior leaders of the Maoist Centre visited the hospital to check on his condition.
Party sources stated that all his scheduled programs have been postponed for a few days. Both hospital and party officials have assured that there is no serious cause for concern.
