Gold and Silver Prices Rise in Nepali Market

Gold and silver prices increased in the Nepali market on Friday, January 16, 2026. After declining in the previous trading day (Thursday), the prices of both precious metals rose again today. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Federation, the price of hallmark gold was fixed at NPR 277,200 per tola, marking an increase of NPR 700 compared to Thursday. On the previous day, hallmark gold was traded at NPR 276,500 per tola.

Similarly, silver prices also recorded an increase. Silver, which was priced at NPR 5,485 per tola on Thursday, rose by NPR 160 to reach NPR 5,645 per tola on Friday. Fluctuations in international markets have been contributing to frequent changes in gold and silver prices in recent days.
