Decline in Nepse Index and Trading Volume

On Wednesday, the Nepse index declined significantly. Continuing the trend from the previous trading day (Tuesday), the Nepse index dropped by 46.78 points, closing at 2796.57 points. Similarly, the Sensitive Index decreased by 8.32 points, while the Float Index fell by 3.24 points, and the Sensitive Float Index dropped by 2.94 points.Along with Nepse, the total trading volume also saw a decrease. On Tuesday, the market recorded a trading volume of NPR 21.5 billion, but on Wednesday, a total of 329 stocks were traded 115,550 times, amounting to NPR 13.18 billion, with 360.49 million shares traded.On this day, Salpa Development Bank's shares were traded at a positive circuit level. The price of its shares rose by NPR 78.40, reaching NPR 862.40. Similarly, the price of National Hydro Power's shares increased by nearly 10%, while Reliance Spinning Mills' shares increased by over 9%. The price of Kalika Power Company's shares saw the highest decrease, dropping by 8.47%.In terms of trading volume, Ridi Hydropower took the top spot with NPR 859.4 million worth of shares traded. Also, over NPR 510 million worth of shares from Aankhu Khola Hydropower Company were traded, while National Hydro Power's trading volume exceeded NPR 490 million.Out of 13 subgroups, 12 experienced a decrease in their indices, while only one subgroup's index saw an increase. The Mutual Fund subgroup saw a slight increase in its index. The Trade subgroup's index saw the highest decrease of 3.40%, followed by the Finance subgroup, which dropped by more than 2%. Other subgroups like Banking, Development Bank, Hotels and Tourism, Investment, Life Insurance, Manufacturing, Microfinance, and Other subgroups also saw a decline of more than 1%.
