Gold and Silver Prices Continue to Set New Records in Nepali Market

Gold and silver prices in the Nepali market continued to set new records on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, marking another historic high amid a persistent upward trend.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Federation, the price of gold increased by NPR 1,500 per tola and is currently being traded at NPR 278,000 per tola. Gold prices have been breaking records continuously for the past three days. On Tuesday, gold was traded at NPR 276,500 per tola, and today’s price surpassed that record to establish a new high.

Similarly, silver prices also witnessed a significant rise. The price of silver increased by NPR 315 per tola, reaching NPR 5,655 per tola in today’s market. On Tuesday, silver was traded at NPR 5,340 per tola. Breaking the previous record, silver prices also set a new all-time high today.

Market analysts attribute the continuous rise in precious metal prices to global market trends, fluctuations in international bullion prices, and domestic demand-supply dynamics, which have collectively put upward pressure on local prices.
