On Friday, Falgun 22, prices of both gold and silver declined in the Nepali market. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold dropped by NPR 4,200 per tola, reaching NPR 313,400 per tola. In the previous trading session on Wednesday, gold was traded at NPR 317,600 per tola. Market analysts suggest that fluctuations in the international market and changing investor sentiment have contributed to the decline in local gold prices.
Similarly, the price of silver also fell on the same day. Silver decreased by NPR 95 per tola and is currently being traded at NPR 5,445 per tola in the domestic market. On Wednesday, silver was traded at NPR 5,540 per tola. The decline in both precious metals indicates short-term pressure in the bullion market.
