Gold Prices Rise While Silver Declines in Nepali Market

On Sunday, January 18, 2026, gold prices increased in the Nepali market while silver prices declined. The price of gold rose by NPR 600 per tola, whereas silver decreased by NPR 20 per tola. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the price of hallmark gold stood at NPR 277,800 per tola. On the previous trading day (Friday), gold was traded at NPR 277,200 per tola. Meanwhile, the price of silver fell to NPR 5,625 per tola on Sunday, down from NPR 5,645 per tola recorded on Friday.
