NEPSE Index Rises for Fourth Consecutive Day, Closes at 2,960 Points

On Tuesday, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index closed higher, continuing its upward trend for the fourth consecutive trading day. The benchmark index gained 23.83 points to reach 2,960.40, while the sensitive, float and sensitive float indices also recorded slight increases. Despite the rise in the index, total turnover declined slightly compared to Monday. Shares worth around Rs. 14.83 billion were traded in more than 126,000 transactions involving 341 stocks. During the session, shares of Salapa Development Bank, Reliance Spinning Mills, Solu Hydropower, Himalayan Power Partner and Bhujung Hydropower hit the positive circuit level. In terms of turnover, Radhi Bidyut Company ranked first, followed by API Power Company and Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company. Out of 13 sub-groups, 8 indices increased while 5 declined, with the trading sub-group recording the highest gain.
