NEPSE Index Rises on Thursday with All Sub-Indices Showing Growth and Higher Trading Volume

On Thursday, the NEPSE index closed higher, continuing the positive trend from Wednesday. The index rose by 48.71 points to close at 2,851.24. The Sensitive Index increased by 4.64 points, the Float Index by 3.02 points, and the Sensitive Float Index by 1.69 points.Trading volume also increased. While shares worth NPR 831 million were traded on Wednesday, on Thursday, 338 stocks were traded 108,869 times, with a total transaction value of NPR 991.92 million for 27.931 million shares. Eight stocks—including Atmanirbhar Laghubitta, Reliance Spinning Mills, Bhujung Hydropower, Ridge Line Energy, Solu Hydropower, Hotel Forest Inn, Super Khudi Hydropower, and Suryakund Hydro Electric—hit the positive circuit limit.Him Star Energy shares rose by more than 9.5%, and Himalayan Reinsurance shares gained over 7.5%. The NIC Asia Balanced Fund saw its unit price fall by 6.74%, the largest decline of the day. Based on trading value, National Hydropower led the market with NPR 43.47 million in transactions, followed by Ready Power at over NPR 41 million and Himalayan Reinsurance at around NPR 40 million.All 13 sub-indices increased, with the ‘Other’ sub-index gaining the most at 3.43%. The Hotel & Tourism, Hydropower, and Manufacturing & Processing sub-indices rose by over 2%, while Banking, Finance, Investment, Laghubitta, and Non-life Insurance sub-indices grew by more than 1%.
