NEPSE Rises by 21 Points Despite Decline in Trading Volume

On this day, the NEPSE index increased by 21.62 points to reach 2,638.60 points. The Sensitive Index rose by 2.31 points, the Float Index by 1.40 points, and the Sensitive Float Index by 0.90 points, reflecting a positive market sentiment.
Despite the rise in the index, the total trading volume declined. Compared to NPR 5.13 billion in transactions on Monday, the market recorded transactions worth NPR 4.23 billion on this day. A total of 9.36 million shares of 328 companies were traded through 49,093 transactions.
Salapa Development Bank continued its positive circuit trend, with its share price rising by NPR 43.90 to close at NPR 483.10. Similarly, the share prices of Reliance Spinning Mills and Himalayan Power Partner increased by more than 9 percent, while Sagar Distillery gained nearly 9 percent. The decline in losing stocks remained below 4 percent.
In terms of turnover, SY Panel Nepal emerged as the top trading company with transactions worth NPR 377.2 million. Ankhu Khola Hydropower recorded trades exceeding NPR 240 million, while Radhi Bidyut Company’s turnover crossed NPR 160 million.
All 13 sub-indices closed in positive territory. The Hotel and Tourism sub-index recorded the highest gain of 2.02 percent. Development Bank, Hydropower, Manufacturing and Processing, and Trading sub-indices also rose by more than 1 percent, indicating broad-based market growth.
