34 Hydropower Companies Awaiting SEBON's Approval

The participation of hydropower companies in Nepal’s capital market is becoming increasingly robust. Currently, 34 hydropower companies have submitted applications to the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) seeking approval to issue Initial Public Offerings (IPOs). Among the frontrunners preparing to issue shares to the general public soon are Bhujung, Ambaling, Solu, Taksar Pikhuwakhola, Ridge Line, Kalinchowk, and Him River Power.

Several other companies planning to file for IPOs within the current fiscal year include Lower Irkhuwa, Kalanga, Sanigad, Apex Makalu, and Apollo Hydropower Limited. These companies are moving forward with the necessary procedures, signaling new opportunities for retail investors.

Additional hydropower firms currently in the regulatory pipeline at SEBON include Gaurishankar Power Development, Shikhar Power Development, Syuri Nyadi Power, Super Khudi, Mount Everest Power Development, Ashutosh Energy, Hilton Hydro Energy, Snow Rivol, Suryakund Hydro Electric, Madame Khola, Nilgiri Khola, Peoples Energy, Champawati, Him Parbat, Century Energy, Habitat Power, Numbur Himalaya, United Mewakhola, Aarti Power, Mewa Developers, Myagdi Hydro, and Arbit Energy Limited. These companies are expected to launch their IPOs in the near future, offering investors a broader range of investment choices and fresh momentum in the energy sector.
