NEPSE and Turnover Hit 4.5-Month High on Fiscal Year’s Final Trading Day

On the final trading day of the fiscal year 2081/82 (July 16, 2025), the NEPSE index surged by 34.61 points, closing at 2,794.78 — marking the highest level in nearly 4.5 months. Previously, the index had last approached this level on Falgun 22 (March 5), when it closed at 2,818.43. The Sensitive Index gained 7.86 points, Float Index 2.66, and Sensitive Float Index 2.82 points.
The trading volume also spiked significantly, with over 99,505 transactions of 330 stocks amounting to NPR 14.03 billion for 43.1 million shares — one of the highest volumes since Falgun 19 (March 2), when turnover stood at NPR 14.28 billion.
The top gainers included KBL Debenture 2090 and Three Star Hydropower, both rising by 10%. Green Development Bank, NIBL Stable Fund, and Upper Hewakhola Hydropower each gained around 8%, while Mai Khola Hydropower saw the biggest loss of the day, falling 7.87%.
