Concessional Loans Worth Rs. 78.66 Billion Disbursed to Over 94,000 Borrowers

Under the government’s interest-subsidized concessional loan program, banks and financial institutions had disbursed a total of Rs. 78.66 billion in loans to 94,920 borrowers as of the end of FY 2082 Ashad.

Out of this, Rs. 57.55 billion was provided to 35,861 borrowers under the Agriculture and Livestock Business Loan category. Likewise, Rs. 20.09 billion was disbursed to 57,636 women entrepreneurs under the Women Entrepreneurship Loan scheme.

Under other categories of concessional loans, 1,423 borrowers had outstanding loans amounting to Rs. 1.02 billion.

According to analysts, concessional loans have become a key instrument in promoting agriculture, livestock, and women entrepreneurship, and are expected to make a significant contribution to strengthening rural economies and expanding self-employment opportunities.
