NRB Calls International Tender to Print NPR 21 Billion Worth of New Banknotes Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has invited international competitive bids to print 420 million units of NPR 50 banknotes, amounting to a total of NPR 21 billion. The central bank’s Currency Management Department issued a notice calling for tenders from pre-qualified international security printers. The contract includes the design, printing, supply, and delivery of the new notes, as part of an international competitive bidding process. Interested pre-qualified companies must submit their bids to the Currency Management Department by 12:00 PM on September 8, 2025. The bids will be opened on the same day at 1:00 PM.
