Hetauda Cement Industry Faces Financial Crisis, Production Halted

Hetauda Cement Industry has plunged into a financial crisis after equipment failure forced it to cease production. The production halt, which began on October 1st, has deepened the industry's financial woes.

Despite the halt in production, the industry continues to incur regular expenses such as administrative costs, employee salaries, and fuel charges. This has added to the financial burden, according to the management. The industry has stated that preparations are underway to resume production as soon as the equipment is repaired. However, the repair process has been delayed due to the need to bring technicians from India.

The industry had previously faced a two-month shutdown due to financial constraints. After resuming operations in the third week of August, it produced 65,000 bags of cement in a short span. However, the subsequent production stoppage has exacerbated the financial challenges.

Bringing the industry back into operation and resolving its financial issues will require the attention of the government and other stakeholders.
