The Government of Nepal has announced that all processes related to lien (rokka) and release (fukuwa) in banks and financial institutions will now be carried out through an online system.
Presenting the budget for fiscal year 2082/83, Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel stated that the government will implement a fully digital process for handling lien and release-related activities.
With this move, the traditional manual procedures for managing property liens and releases linked to loans and financial services will be eliminated, bringing significant improvements in efficiency, transparency, and time-saving.
This digital transformation is aimed at making public service delivery faster and hassle-free, and is part of the government’s broader effort to digitize financial and administrative processes.
