Mithila Laghubitta Earns Over NPR 80 Million Net Profit in Q4

Mithila Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MLBBL) has published its unaudited financial report for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2081/82. The report highlights significant improvements in major financial indicators, including income and profitability.

The microfinance institution recorded a net profit of NPR 84.1 million, marking a 77% increase compared to NPR 47.5 million in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

This profit growth is mainly driven by a 41.86% rise in net interest income and a 34.91% increase in other operating income. Additionally, total operating income surged by 40.36%, while operating profit more than doubled (107.68%), showing strong financial momentum.

The Earnings Per Share (EPS) also improved significantly, increasing by NPR 13.32 to reach NPR 37.58. The Net Worth Per Share stood at NPR 191.29, and the Price-to-Earnings (PE) ratio was reported at 42.55 times.

On the capital structure side, the company reported paid-up capital of NPR 223.9 million and reserves and surplus of NPR 204.4 million. During the review period, it collected NPR 1.18 billion in deposits, borrowed NPR 1.77 billion, and disbursed NPR 2.96 billion in loans.
