Kathmandu, May 29 – The Government of Nepal has decided not to increase the base salary of government employees in the fiscal year 2082/83.
However, Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel, while presenting the budget, announced that the inflation allowance will be increased and set at NPR 5,000 per month.
The government aims to ease the financial burden on employees and partially offset the impact of rising inflation through this allowance adjustment.
While base salaries remain unchanged, the raised allowance is expected to provide some relief in daily living expenses.
