Shikhar Insurance Records Modest Profit Growth, EPS Declines

Shikhar Insurance Limited (SICL) has published its unaudited financial statement for the fourth quarter of FY 2081/82, showing a slight increase in profit but a decline in earnings per share (EPS). The company earned a net profit of NPR 452.7 million, up by 1.66% compared to NPR 445.3 million in the same period last year. During the review period, net earned premium increased by 31.91% and total income rose by 11.75%, while net claim payments grew by 21.95% and total expenses by 14.72%. Despite profit growth, EPS declined by NPR 1.29 to NPR 15.49. The company’s price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio stood at 49.95 times, with a net worth per share of NPR 198.97. Shikhar Insurance has a paid-up capital of NPR 2.92 billion, with NPR 1.91 billion in special reserves, NPR 160.7 million in catastrophe reserves, NPR 211.7 million in retained earnings, and NPR 606.6 million in other equity.
