Sunday Marks Last Day to Secure Dividends of Five Companies

Kathmandu. Sunday, Poush 6, marks the final day for investors to secure dividends of five listed companies: Mahalaxmi Development Bank Limited, Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited, Taragaon Regency Hotels Limited, Singati Hydro Energy Limited, and Nepal Hydro Developers Limited.

All five companies have announced book closure on Monday, Poush 7, for the purpose of their annual general meetings (AGMs) and dividend distribution. Accordingly, shareholders holding shares traded on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) up to Sunday will be eligible to attend the respective AGMs and receive the proposed dividends.

Mahalaxmi Development Bank is set to hold its 24th AGM on Monday, Poush 21, at the Tribhuvan Army Officers’ Club, Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, starting at 10:00 AM. The meeting will consider approving a 5 percent bonus share along with a 5.37 percent cash dividend for tax purposes. Other agenda items include amendments to the memorandum and articles of association, acquisition of land or a building for a corporate office, election of directors, appointment of an independent director, and appointment of an auditor.

Nepal Life Insurance Company has called its 26th AGM for Saturday, Poush 19, at Hotel Bishuwa, Birgunj, beginning at 9:00 AM. The AGM will deliberate on a proposal to distribute a 5 percent bonus share and a 16.05 percent cash dividend for tax purposes. Proposals related to the election of directors, amendments to the company’s charter documents, and appointment of an auditor will also be tabled.

Taragaon Regency Hotels will convene its 29th AGM on Wednesday, Poush 23, at the Nepal Army Officers’ Club, Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, starting at 11:00 AM. The meeting will consider approval of a 5 percent cash dividend (excluding tax), along with proposals to amend the memorandum and articles of association and appoint an auditor.

Singati Hydro Energy has scheduled its 16th AGM for Monday, Poush 21, at Dhumrabarah Venue, Dhumbarahi, Kathmandu, beginning at 11:00 AM. The AGM will consider distributing a 5 percent bonus share and a special proposal to issue right shares equivalent to 100 percent of the paid-up capital after the bonus adjustment. Proposals related to investment in other projects, corporate bank guarantees, and auditor appointment will also be discussed.

Similarly, Nepal Hydro Developers Limited will hold its 19th AGM on Wednesday, Poush 23, at Amrapali Banquet, Bhatbhateni, Kathmandu, starting at 11:00 AM. The meeting will consider approving a 9 percent bonus share and a 0.47 percent cash dividend for tax purposes. Other agenda items include endorsement of the appointment of an independent director and amendments to the company’s charter documents.
