Sagar Distillery's Revenue Soars, But Losses Also Increase

Sagar Distillery Limited (SAGAR) has published its unaudited financial report for the second quarter of the current fiscal year. According to the report, the company's sales revenue has shown a significant increase compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year.
In the previous fiscal year's first half, the company earned 59 million rupees in sales revenue. However, for the same period in the current fiscal year, Sagar Distillery's revenue has increased to 129.1 million rupees, marking a 115.41% growth.
Similarly, the company's net sales revenue increased by 117.81%, and its total profit grew by 100.54%. Despite the rise in revenue, the company's losses have also increased compared to the previous fiscal year. The company had incurred a loss of 15.3 million rupees in the first half of last year, but this year, the loss has surged to 261 million rupees. The increase in losses is attributed to the rising expenses of the company.
With a paid-up capital of 72.6 million rupees, the company holds accumulated equity of 20.57 million rupees. As of the report, the company's earnings per share (EPS) stands at a negative 7.21 rupees, while the net worth per share is 128.34 rupees.
