Yambaling Hydropower Limited IPO Launch
Yambaling Hydropower Limited is set to launch its IPO on Chait 8, targeting local residents in the project-affected areas and Nepali workers abroad. The company has received approval to issue 28 million shares, representing 40% of its capital, worth NPR 280 million. Of these shares, 700,000 will be issued at NPR 100 per share for the local residents of Jugal Municipality in Sindhupalchok district, where the affected areas are located.Additionally, 210,000 shares, representing 10% of the public offering, will be allocated for Nepali workers abroad, following approval from the concerned authorities. The IPO application will have a minimum of 10 shares, with local residents able to apply for up to 7,000 shares, and Nepali workers abroad for up to 21,000 shares.CARE Ratings Nepal has assigned a "CARE NP BB-" rating to the company, indicating a medium level of risk in its ability to meet obligations. The total estimated cost of the 7.27 MW Yambaling Khola Hydroelectric Project is NPR 1.87 billion, with a per MW cost of NPR 257.38 million. The project’s electricity license is valid for 25 years and 6 months, with a payback period of 10.76 years under normal conditions.
