‘Cosmetica 2025’ to Be Held in Kathmandu from January 11, Showcasing Nepal’s Growing Beauty and Wellness Industry

Kathmandu is set to host Cosmetica 2025, a large-scale trade show dedicated to the cosmetics, beauty, and wellness sector, from January 11 to 13 (December 26–28). The event will take place at Amrapali Banquet Center and aims to bring together businesses, brands, and service providers from across the industry under one platform.

Recognized as Nepal’s first and only comprehensive trade show focused exclusively on cosmetics and wellness, Cosmetica 2025 is being organized by House of Rajkarnicar, with support from the Nepal Cosmetics Business Association and the Beautician Professional Association of Nepal. WOW Magazine is the media partner, while Websurfer serves as the ISP partner and Sagar Art Service as the print partner.

According to the organizers, the expo is designed to connect brands, manufacturers, distributors, importers, suppliers, and entrepreneurs involved in the beauty and wellness ecosystem. Targeting both B2B and B2C segments, the event will unveil new products, services, technologies, and emerging trends in the cosmetics industry.

Participation is expected from domestic and international cosmetic brands, skincare and haircare companies, personal care and wellness brands, packaging firms, beauty-tech providers, beauty schools, plastic surgery clinics, hair care and hair transplant clinics, dental care centers, and cosmetic clinics. Visitors will include manufacturers, importers, distributors, stockists, retailers, salon owners, beauty consultants, dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and cosmetic dentists.

Organizers emphasize that Cosmetica 2025 is not limited to a conventional exhibition of products and services but is being presented as a celebration of beauty and wellness. The event will feature a range of interactive activities, including a “Hall of Fame” honoring women who have made notable contributions to the beauty and wellness sector, free trials and sample distributions, special selfie kiosks, new brand launches, live makeup and hairstyling demonstrations, skincare and haircare workshops, seminars, and direct consultations with industry experts.

Sessions and presentations by WOW Magazine, Kamala Shrestha of Siam Beauty Parlour, Sunita Shrestha of Boss Beauty Academy, Bigyan Joshi of True Derma, and Isas Beauty are expected to be among the key attractions of the expo.

Over the past decade, Nepal’s cosmetics and wellness market has expanded significantly, driven by changing lifestyles, social values, and consumption patterns. Growing awareness of personal image, health, and self-confidence—amplified by social media and digital platforms—has led to a steady rise in spending on beauty and personal care products.

Industry estimates suggest that Nepal’s cosmetics and personal care market is currently valued at approximately NPR 23.6 billion. Imports in this sector are projected to reach NPR 20.4 billion by 2025, with products mainly sourced from India, China, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, the European Union, and the United States. Experts note that the market has been growing at an annual rate of 20 to 25 percent, positioning Cosmetica 2025 as a timely platform to explore new opportunities in one of Nepal’s fastest-growing consumer industries.
