Dudh Pokhari Chepe and Sanyukta Urja Seek SEBON Approval for IPO Issuance

Kathmandu: Two hydropower companies have applied to the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) seeking approval to issue Initial Public Offerings (IPOs). Dudh Pokhari Chepe Hydropower Limited and Sanyukta Urja Limited have requested permission to float shares to the general public. According to the board, Dudh Pokhari Chepe Hydropower submitted its application on Magh 20 to issue 2.02 million shares at a face value of Rs. 100 each, totaling Rs. 212 million. The issue manager for the company Muktinath Capital Limited. Similarly, Sanyukta Urja Limited filed its application on Falgun 5 to issue 4.16 million shares worth Rs. 416 million, with Laxmi Sunrise Capital Limited appointed as the issue and sales manager. Upon receiving approval from SEBON, both companies plan to issue shares first to project-affected locals and Nepalis working abroad, followed by a public offering to general investors.
