Nepal Stock Exchange falls 47.71 points as all sector indices decline

The NEPSE index declined on the second trading day of the week. On Monday, NEPSE fell by 47.71 points to close at 2,831.39. Similarly, the Sensitive Index dropped by 7.90 points, the Float Index by 3.20 points, and the Sensitive Float Index by 2.55 points.On the day, 341 stocks were traded 159,328 times, totaling NPR 1.296 billion for 31.66 million shares. Six stocks hit the positive circuit level, while the share price of Sapta Koshi Development Bank rose by nearly 10%. Solu Hydropower recorded the highest decline, falling by 7.79%.Ridi Hydropower led in trading volume. Ngadi Group Power and Shivam Cements traded around NPR 440 million each, while API Power Company crossed NPR 385 million. All 13 sub-indices fell, with the Trade sub-index declining the most by 2.56%. Finance and other sub-indices fell over 2%, and Banking, Development Banks, Hotel & Tourism, Hydropower, Investment & Life Insurance, Microfinance, and Non-Life Insurance sub-indices dropped more than 1%.
