NEPSE Announces New Trading Schedule; Stock Market to Operate Monday to Friday Only

The Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has announced a new trading schedule for the stock market. According to NEPSE, the change follows the decision made by the Council of Ministers during its meeting held on Chaitra 22. The government decided to grant public holidays on two days of the week—Saturday and Sunday—and set official working hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. In line with this decision and the NEPSE Board meeting held on the same date, stock trading will now take place from Monday to Friday during the existing trading hours. Previously, trading was conducted from Sunday to Thursday, but with Sunday now designated as a public holiday, the market will remain closed on that day.
