New Executive Committee Elected at Nepal–Britain Chamber of Commerce; Dr. Roshan Rathi Chosen as President

Kathmandu – The Nepal–Britain Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) has elected a new executive committee under the leadership of Dr. Roshan Rathi for the next three years. The decision was made during the chamber’s annual general meeting held in Kathmandu, attended by prominent representatives from Nepal’s private sector, banking, development, industry, and trade communities.

The meeting was chaired by outgoing president Rajendra Kumar Khetan, who highlighted the chamber’s renewed strategic direction to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation between Nepal and the United Kingdom. He noted that the reactivation of the UK Department for Business and Trade in Nepal and the growing commercial partnership between the two countries have opened new avenues for investment and collaboration.

A major highlight of the event was the ceremonial recognition of Rajendra Kumar Khetan as “President Emeritus.” The assembly expressed deep gratitude for his long-term contribution, exemplary leadership, and significant role in revitalizing the chamber into a strong and vibrant institution.

The newly elected executive committee comprises a powerful blend of expertise from finance, banking, multinational enterprises, development, entrepreneurship, and business leadership. This diverse leadership is expected to inject new energy into the chamber and further enhance trade and investment relations between Nepal and the UK.

In his remarks, newly elected president Dr. Roshan Rathi thanked the members for their trust and reaffirmed his commitment to promoting bilateral trade, improving market access, encouraging investment, and strengthening private-sector partnerships between the two nations.
