Sagar Distillery Limited Opens IPO for General Public

Sagar Distillery Limited, a Nepali liquor manufacturing company, has officially opened its Initial Public Offering (IPO) to the general public starting today (Bhadra 30).

The company, which postponed its IPO opening earlier on Bhadra 25 due to the Gen-Z movement, is now proceeding with the public issue after completing allotments for migrant workers. According to the issue manager, Muktinath Capital Limited, general investors can now apply for shares until Ashoj 2.

Sagar Distillery has approval to issue 1,452,000 shares worth NPR 145.2 million, equivalent to 20% of its issued capital of NPR 726 million. Out of this, 145,200 shares have already been allotted to Nepalis working abroad, 72,600 to mutual funds, and 43,560 to company employees. The remaining 1,190,640 shares are available for general investors.

Investors can apply for a minimum of 10 shares and up to 10,000 shares. Given market trends, the issue is expected to be heavily oversubscribed, with most applicants likely to be allotted only 10 shares each.
