Shree Airlines Plans Premium IPO of 6.3 Million Shares

Kathmandu — Shree Airlines Limited, a private domestic air service provider, has initiated preparations to launch an Initial Public Offering (IPO) at a premium price. The company has applied to the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) seeking approval to issue 6.3 million shares at a price of Rs 200 per share.According to the proposal, the company plans to issue shares with a face value of Rs 100 along with a premium of Rs 100 per share. If approved, the company aims to raise a total of Rs 1.26 billion through the public offering.Himalayan Capital Limited has been appointed as the issue manager for the IPO.Financial data shows that from fiscal year 2020/21 to mid-January of fiscal year 2025/26, the company has generated revenue exceeding Rs 15.63 billion. In the first six months of the current fiscal year alone, the company reported revenue of around Rs 2.57 billion.At present, Shree Airlines operates a fleet of 18 aircraft, including three jet aircraft, seven turboprop planes, and eight helicopters.The company’s main investor is Sudhir Mittal. Established in 1999 under the name “Ananya Air,” the company was later renamed Shree Airlines. It was converted into a public company in 2023.Currently, the airline operates regular domestic flights from Kathmandu to major cities including Dhangadhi, Surkhet, Nepalgunj, Bhairahawa, Pokhara, Chitwan, and Biratnagar. The company also provides mountain flights and charter services through its helicopter operations.
