Union Hydropower to Hold Special General Meeting on Baisakh 6; Rights Issue and Name Change on Agenda

Kathmandu — Union Hydropower Limited has announced that it will convene its Special General Meeting (SGM) on Baisakh 6, 2083. The meeting will be held at 11:00 AM at Siddhartha Cottage, Dhobighat, Lalitpur, and will be conducted both physically and virtually via Zoom.According to the company, key proposals to be presented at the meeting include amendments to the company’s Memorandum and Articles of Association, a proposed change in the company’s name and objectives, and the issuance of rights shares. Other general matters will also be discussed during the session.The company has stated that the hybrid format aims to ensure maximum participation of shareholders from across the country and abroad. Shareholders wishing to join virtually are required to obtain the Meeting ID and password in advance by contacting the company.Participants attending the meeting must carry valid identification or a DEMAT account statement. Shareholders who wish to appoint a proxy must submit the required documents in accordance with prevailing company laws within the specified deadline.For the purpose of the SGM, the company will close its shareholder register on Chaitra 26. Only those shareholders recorded before the book closure date will be eligible to attend and vote in the meeting.
